I am sooooooooooo excited!!!! I could hardly sleep last night, and now today I'm at work only for a half day, but it feels like the last day of school I can hardly contain myself. So anyway I am just looking for some last minute advice or pointers anyone has. Anything will help Thanks Jennifer

You will be fine. Post op you might have some nausea from the pain medications, but let the nurses know and they will change things for you. Drink what they tell you, and get up and walk as much as you can. Once you get your catheter out (next day I think) you will feel good, and then day two you should get that iv out! Then day 3 you should gohome. They will take the jackson pratt drain out. It didn't hurt, but felt like a tube curled around your insides. Mine was pulled out fast, I did not like how it felt, but it was only a moment, and it was out. You have to cough right after surgery to clear your lungs. It hurts because you are tender, but do it several times a day. If you don't you could get pneumonia, so cough even if it hurts! I am 2 weeks post op, doing great and would do it again in a heartbeat! May God's hand or protection be upon you Jennifer and upon your doc and nurses. I pray that you will recover from anesthesia without complications and that your recovery would be quick andwithout complications. In Jesus' name,Amen Blessings, Tami
