For right now, I am terrified to even start thinking of going through another surgery and no where near being ready to consider it. But I was curious to know how many of you will be happy if you do or don't get it. What are your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance. Mayra

Hi Mayra, I am still pre-op but I will most definitely have PS when all is said and done...I already have an apron of fat from all the yo-yo dieting I have done over the last 28 yrs....and my promise to me is that by the time I am 50 (I am 43 now) I will have perky boobs......so PS is in my future sometime...good luck on your weight loss and your decision to have or have not PS... April

Hi Myra, I have an apple shape and carry most of my weight in my abodomen. It already hangs lower than most people. I know I will have to have TT or something done there. I also have large upper arms (which I hate). I am hoping that the skin will shrink back, but I doubt it. Do I look forward to having more surgery? No, but I will if I need too & I know that I will need too. That however, is a ways off since I haven't even had this surgery yet. Take care, Lori

I would have plastics if I needed to, but I won't be needing to. My rear end is slipping down the back of my legs, but I don't much care and I wish my legs were firmer, but they don't bother me THAT much. Jan

Hi Jan, Since we are on the subject, what do you think is the reason you are going to be able to not have PS. I mean, I see some of mine firming up and I just wondered if you have been doing something all along that I could do. I would rather not have PS and I am with you on the "dragging butt" but at my age, I don't expect to be the "perfect " body. I think you new pics look great. Sooooooooooooooo.........Do you think it has to do with skin type, genes, or lifestyle? Just wondering. My face seems to be shrinking up along with all my chins but I wonder about my bat wings. I don't do well with scars. My skin seems to darken when I have a scar so I am not sure I want the lines around my body. Maybe it is all just preferences.

Carol, I only (can you imagine saying "only"??) had about 120 lbs. to lose which makes me a lightweight on the WLS scene. Also, I've been doing step aerobics for months and months now, as I started 2 months post-op when I got my G-tube out and healed. I think that all the ab work and toning work has paid off some, but the biggest thing I have going for me is that I'm a pear shape. I have a well defined waist and a flat (comparatively speaking) stomach, but I carry my weight in my rear end and legs. Using shapers helps with my rear and legs some and there was no way I was going to wear shorts anyway. This is why I don't think I'll need plastics. If my legs really change and turn to mush when I lose my last 30 lbs., I may reconsider, but at this point, I don't think I'll be fixing anything. Jan

I can understand your hesitation. I will definately have PS when the time comes though. For me I feel as though my transformation won't be complete until I have the panni cut off. I've been overweight my whole life and with over 200 lbs to lose, I know that I'll have hanging skin. My poor boobs have already started heading toward my waist LOL. I'm not as worried about that, but I will try to get that fixed too. I've never been thin, EVER so for me it's something I have to do. Hugs Kim

I didn't really think of having it til recently, I really didn't think I need it. I have been very lucky and don't have much hanging skin. But I do think I wanna do it because my body looks better then I could of imagined before the WLS and now I want it to look amazing. Yeah I became vain after this surgery, sue me...I deserve to be vain. Tracey
