OH Event-Who's coming? What to do?
Hi All!
I live in the Tampa Bay area and plan to attend. I'm thinking I'll drive over to Orlando Friday afternoon and come home Sunday afternoon. I drive an SUV and would be interested in car pooling and sharing a room with someone. I've been to Universal Studios for Halloween fright night but didn't really spend much time at CityWalk. Anyone interested in car pooling or sharing a room email me at [email protected].
Also, for those looking for other entertainment while in Orland let me recommend Cirque du Soleil. This show is awesome and well worth the price of admission. To get more infor or tickets go to www disneyworld.com/cirque.
See you all in Orlando,
Janice
Janice--So glad you are gonna make it. There is a Linda S who posted above in this thread http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=S980781370
she is from Tampa, maybe she would be interested in driving over and sharing a room with you.
I have always wanted to "do" Cirque du Soleil--I just went to one in Vegas, but it is new and different from the others, I didn't like that much. I think I am gonna look into it. Thanks for the link.
Hi Donna,
It is a one day event with lots of socializing before and after. The link for the event is http://www.obesityhelpevents.com/june2005-florida.html Hope you can make it. Join us Friday night for socialiing at Citywalk if you would like.
Hey guys.......still deciding on whether I'm going or not. I just don't want another repeat of when I went to the group support meeting and ended up sitting by myself. I tried to talk to people there but got nothing but noses turned up at me on both occasions, so I said the hell with them, and I'm a social party girl that gets along with EVERYONE.
Hey Lynda....I have PS consultation on the 23 also. Second round of PS.
Kim-I really hope you decide to come. Going to things and sitting by yourself--no fun at all. I definitely have that fear and I think most people have experienced it at least once. Maybe you look so awesome at 138 they thought they had nothing in common with you--kind of a reverse discrimination. You look awesome! You are more than welcome to hang out with me-and my buddy Charlie. Believe me no sitting alone here. I too am a social party gal too. What I did before the DC event was printed out a copy of the who's coming thread so I could recognize people from their mb photos. It was cool. Really the best thing about these events is the meeting other people who have been through the same thing.
