OH Event-Who's coming? What to do?

Lynda, Thank you for the compliment. God sure has brought me a long way. Yes, I have grandchildren at my age....LOL. Let's say I started out young and my kids started having kids young but I told my grandkids they better NOT!!!! I don't want to be a Great Grandma anytime soon. Dr.Clifford Clark from Winter Park did my plastic surgery and will be doing my revisions the end of summer. I see that you are having a consult coming up, I wish you the best. If for some reason you want another consult, I will give you Dr.Clark's number. I confirmed it w/hubby and he said it would be just fine to host a few people. Yes, Jack and Jill style bathroom. My house was built in 1970 and I guess that was the style to have back then. I personally think I'ts a great idea. We have been slowly remodling and even tried to build down closer to the lake that we live on but the zoning commity are giving us a hard time about it. I hope one day we will be able to. Although, our grandkids don't want us to leave this house. They have fond memories here but we can make new ones in a new house. We shall see what the future holds for us. I haven't visited the boards in some time, but this sounds fun to me. Is this just for people who are having or who have had the WLS? I have opted not to have it and am wondering if this is something like a support group meeting only for WLS. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I only live an hour away, so I would drive over and back the same day. Also, if it's not too humid, I would do city walk... I just can't take the heat that much.. go figure, I live in Florida.. K~

Hi Kathy-Well, how to answer your question. The name of the website is Obesity Help (Resources and peer support for morbid obesity and weight loss surgery). In theory the event should be for those who are researching wls, have had wls and those who have chosen to not have wls and pursue different avenues. Hmm--the reality--I went to the event in DC and most everything was geared toward wls. That being said--of course you are welcome to come. If you choose not to attend the event on the 25th--maybe you would like to join us for socializing at Citywalk the night before. How is the dieting going? I checked out your profile and it is neat you are working out on a regular basis. Hope to get to meet you on the 24th or 25th.

I am always excited about events. I think Orlando will be a great event. Can't wait to meet everyone and hear all the stories of dramatic life changes. It never gets old to hear good things from the people we meet all over the country.

OK everyone....we need to set up and finalize some plans Christine and I were talking and we thought maybe on Friday night, everyone can go and do whatever they want for dinner, and then we can all meet at Starbucks near the entrance of CityWalk at around 7pm. We could then hang out there for a little bit and get to know each other a bit before heading out to explore CityWalk. What do you all think? Andrea P.S.
