OH Event-Who's coming? What to do?

I'm getting really excited about the OH Orlando event on June 25th. The most exciting part to me is meeting everybody and hanging out before and after the event. I was thinking maybe we should get this thread started where we could post that we are attending the event and when we will be in the area available for socializing. It might be helpful to know where people are staying too. My friend Charlie from Daytona is planning on attending and we will be in the area from the 24th leaving either the evening of the 26th or am 27th. BTW--anybody needing roommates to share the cost might want to post that here--that's how Charlie and I got to be friends--at the DC event. I know that Andrea and Christine are planning on attending and have made arrangements to meet at Universal Citywalk Friday evening--that sounds like a good place to start with the plans. A get together at Citywalk on Friday night. Hmm--next thing would be Saturday night and Sunday day for those who will still be around. Again--meeting the people who gone through some of the same things as me is what I'm really looking forward to. So let's show who's coming and start making the plans.

Hey Lynda I plan on being there Friday evening 24th. Leaving sometime Monday. We are staying at Amerisuites just around from the event. Where are you staying? I don't really have many plans for Sunday. What are you doing that day? I think it's too HOT to be going to any parks, maybe at night. So much to do and so little time! Amy

Amy--I am really looking forward to meeting you. I watched your story on MTV and you have come a long way baby!! Will you be there in time to meet us at Citywalk on Friday night? We haven't made our reservations yet but I have been researching it. I am the queen of Priceline so I am doing my research and gonna work on it. I think the Amerisuites may have come up on the Entertainment Guide listings. It's raining here again today--so I may get it done today. Hmm-too hot for a park--ya know Amy I live way down in SW Florida now and I forget that most people would find it hot at this time of the year. Actually I find it hot now too. LOL! Do you think people would be interested in a water park? Now that would be cooler, but maybe not good for us--a bunch of wls people.

Andrea and I are staying at the Marriot Springhill Suites by the convention center. Where do you guys want to meet Friday night? What location at City Walk? Let us and everyone else know. We are just going with the flow and looking forward to having a good time. I met Andrea on the May 2004 boards and we have been friends ever since. She is flying in from Lincoln, NE to West Palm Beach so we can drive up together. I can't wait to make more friends and meet everyone in Orlando. See you guys real soon! Christine

Christine--Charlie and I are actually driving down to west Palm Beach for a plastic surgery consult on the 23rd. Maybe we will cross each other. Since it is raining here again,--this never happens here--is it raining there?, I am now researching good deals on hotels. Haven't figured out a place to meet yet, but now that you are on this thread it will be easy to communicate. They tell me they will leave it at or near the top until the event. Looking forward to meeting you and Andrea. Ya know one of the things people did in DC was they brought before and after pics to share--just somthing to think about. I prefer to forget about that person, but I did manage to find a before pic afterwards.

What exactly is Citywalk? You have to remember I never use to get out! I would love to go to a water park, but not with my legs! I'm sure it's hot all the time down that way. I think I'll skip the parks this time and go back during the more cooler months, like winter! Amy

Amy...City Walk is a part of Universal...lots of restaurants and shops....like Jummy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant....and Emril's...plus lots of clubs with live music...street performers....just lots of stuff to see and experience. Its not too hot in the evenings...especially if you dress light. Wear shorts or capris and short sleeves and keep the color light. The heat doesn't bother me anymore.... Can't wait. Hugs Charlie

Amy-Like Charlie said Citwalk is part of Universal with restaurants and drinking spots. I think it is in the no admission area, but to be honest I am not certain, so I will definitely be checking out all the details in the near future. I'm pretty flexible on anything we decide to do. Just meeting all the people is what I look forward to.
