day 3 without A/C HOT! HOT! HOT! :-@

anyone know renters rights here in florida or where i can get a copy of them? Its going on day 3 without A/C here and im getting the run around. I am being as nice as possible but i cant take the heat for much longer... and as i will not be responsible for my actions if it lasts another day. lol... this is crazy. i paid my rent. WHERE IS THE A/C REPAIR MAN?

Hey Emily, I am so sorry to hear about your A/C problems. I just had to have my landlord replace the refrigertor and he is now in the process of fixing my roof in my bedroom that leaks everytime it rains. But he is really good about fixing things. I think you can call the Clerk of Court and ask them about Landlord/Tenant rights and responsibilities. I pray your A/C gets fixed soon. Take care. Cathy 287/209.5/135

Sorry I can't help, but hope your landlord gets if fixed for you soon! I know that before wls I would've croaked without AC. But now, I tend to be a bit cold-natured and get too cold. Oh well - I can add clothes to get warm, but could only take off so much and still be legal!! Vickie J.

the looks like a site that explains renter rights in Florida. I'm not sure AC is mandatory floridapirg.org/consumer/renters/rrpage1.htm just add the www Hope it gets fixed quickly. I know I was miserable last year after Hurricaine Charley when we had no power thus no AC

Hey Emily, We went through a similar situation... FL laws are in favor of the renter all the way. Frankly, I would hate to be the landlord in this state. We were more than patient and finally after promises and no return, I had an ac man out to fix the problem and deducted it from the rent! My landlord kicked and screamed a bit but I sent him a polite letter reminding him of his obligation and empty promises. He shut up and we got our AIR! HTH, Sallykate
