June 25th Fun Day
As some of you know I was trying to plan a cookout/pool party at my brother's house for the 25th. Well, he is having work done on his pool starting on the 23rd and isn't sure how long it will take. So, do you guys still want to plan something for that day? Maybe we can go to a park and do a picnic. We have Turkey Lake Park close to us. I think it is $4.00 per car and there are covered areas to picnic and trails to bike/walk and you can also fish. Or let's have some other ideas? 
Bowling, putt putt golf (have to be in the evening), just go and hang out at CityWalk(again in the evening)?
You tell me and I will plan.

Isn't the 25th the day of the OH conference in Orlando? I hope you and everybody else plan on attending so I can meet you all. www.ohmemberevents.com
Sorry Dawn I didn't read your previous response to the question about the OH event. I assumed you just didn't realize the event was that same day. IMHO--You guys are missing a great opportunity to meet others during that time. Whether you attend the event or not--I would look at one of the get togethers that will be planned before or after the event--it's the best part. Believe me there is very little talk of dieting at these get togethers. LOL
I agree 100% with Lynda. Why would you want to plan something the same day to pull folks away from the OH event. You don't have to pay the fee and attend. You can plan to meet with us all the day before or the evening of or the day after. All of us going to meet there are long term post ops....and yes you are right...there isn't much new for us. But occasionally there is info on a new protein supplement....and its always inspiring to hear long term post ops talk about their experiences....
But the main reason we are going is to meet everyone and have fun. The conference is one day....and a lot of people will be going to just to that one event....and that is the only time we'll get to meet them. Sorry...but there is NO WAY I'm going to Orlando to play putt putt golf or go bowling. I think we may plan to spend all day Friday or all Day Sunday....or even better....Saturday night at Universal. The clubs at Universal are unreal.....every kind of music and dancing....and the food at Marguaritaville is to die for......it will give us a reason to 'dress up' a little and show off.....
Planning to meet is great....and if you plan something for another day....count me in. I would love to plan a day at Alexander Springs for the whole day...swimming and picnicing and canoeing and hiking....but not the same day as the OH event.
I hope everyone will consider attending....just to meet all these folks we talk to on here.....I lurk and read the Florida board all the time....and I hope to meet a lot of us 'tropical' folks in Orlando. If you are planning to go....and want to 'hook' up with Lynda and me and Suzy and maybe Perry Fender and Theresa....let me know

Hey Sarah--I think I read you were planning on staying at Disney. Where are you staying? Do you think people will be staying all over or most will be staying at that hotel that the event is in? Just wondering as I am the queen of priceline and I also really like staying at nice places--so combining the two works well for me, but I don't want to miss any of the fun.
