Hello everyone. I have a few questions for anyone welling to help. First of all I am 4 1/2 months post-op, everything has been pretty easy for me from day one until a month ago. I thought I had a stomach bug because I had diarrhea with bad, bad gas and stomach pains. I took Imodium 2 days later and the diarrhea stopped but it keeps coming back. I would say atleast 2 days out of the week I have to stay home and be by a toilet. I have even gone back to eating bland foods again. The Dr. said to watch out for the hidden sugars and to get the lactose milk (to watch my dairy) also. I am tired of having diarrhea and the gas is just as bad. Any suggestions what I can do for the diarrhea? Now the other question, the gas smells sooooo bad, is there anything I can take for the smell? maybe a pill? anything? I'm not saying that my BM's smelled like roses before but this is just awful. Thanks, Stephanie

Girl ---- sorry to here about your troubles. But I know I can't eat ANY corn or the gas smell would kill something. I think it maybe anything with a kernel not sure yet, don't want to test, if you know what I mean. Also any thing with sugar alcohol gives me diarrhea, have to stay away from those to. Just keep track of what you eat before you have episode, see whats in it. Good luck. You'll be fine. tina

AT 2 years and 9 months...its just now getting better for me. I think it just goes with the territory for some of us. I don't get it near as often as I used to....even my protein shakes would give me the runs. And for the first year....I had to stay near the potty also...ususally once it happened....it was over for the day...but sometimes it hit out of the blue and I had to find a bathroom....or else! I don't do that anymore.... Hang in there...it all gets better..... Hugs Charlie
