Roll call...........
I am a week out today. No idea if I have lost anything as I have been in a hotel since getting out of the hospital. Didn't want to bring a scale cause I would drive myself nuts. Having a hard time getting the fluids in. The doc said the protiens will come. He does not like the protien shakes but does say the Unjury is a good product. Maybe when I get home and have access to my kitchen it will be easier.
The first couple of days that I was out of the hospital I had a really rough time. It is starting to look much better now. Hopefully I can get my g-tube out and go home on Thursday. I have to do a upper GI to check for leaks. If that goes well, the G-Tube comes out and my honey can take me home.
To all the post ops, Keep sipping and walking. To all the pre-ops keep pushing and you will make it to the losers bench.
Smiles,
Kat
Hi All,
I'm 8 months post-op and have lost 141 pounds. My pre-op weight was 399 and my goal is 200. If I lose more fine but I'm not going to make myself crazy with unreachable goals. Getting 200 pounds off this body would be just fine with me. LOL
I have been stuck at 258 for a few months but I haven't been exercising on a regular schedule plus I haven't been able to afford my protein in over 4 months. But tonight I will be ordering some because I've been saving up so I could purchase some. The only one I can tolerate in Matrix 5.0 and 2 of the Nectars.
Life is much better and I'm able to participate in it more. It's amazing all the things I wasn't able to do for sooo long. Haven't had any major problems post-op. The first 2 months I was totally in a major depression and thought what the hell did I do. But once my body began to adjust, the mind started to follow. I still have some food issues but nothing to stress about. My B-1 was very low so I added some supplemeents to help with that.
Omar (my hubby) is 25 months post-op and has lost over 330 pounds!! He had a little more of a difficult time right after surgery but that was due to the fact that 3 days before his WLS he went into complete renal failure and had to go on dialysis about 2 weeks after his surgery. But he's all better now.
Sincerely,
Dawn
Well I am hoping to have all the insurance crap done by this time next year as my insurance requires you take classes and it takes about a year because they want you to take 24 of them at least one a week. On top of that I have to lose 10% of my weight then do all the other tests.. So this time next year I hope to have my surgery done... I am so sick of being so damn heavy. Its taking a toll on my health...
