You are awesome. tt I'll go first.....(it was my ideal) LOL Okay I haven't lost a pound in 3 months, but that's okay, as long as I'm not gaining, I am down 86. 15 more to goal. I have been walking alittle. I bought a gazzel this weekend at a garage sale so hope that will jump start it. It is awesome when I see people that I haven't seen in awhile and they go the face is familuar, then you tell them who you are and they go OMG how did you do it? I've started caring my cards for people who ask me about the surgrey. 236/150/135 tina

So far this month I have lost 7 lbs. I have two tests to complete this week. So I can get a Preop date. Hopefully this time next year I will be on the beach with the grandkids getting seashells. Good luck on your 15lbs.

Well I am almost 10 months out now I haven't lost in a couple weeks, about 6 weeks ago I dropped 7 pounds in a week then the next 2 weeks I dropped a pound each. I have stopped weighing myself weekly now. I am down 145 pounds now and 5 from Dr. O's goal. I am still not regularly exercising, I am so busy with the house and kids...I have been swimming in the pool a couple times per week. We purchased a weigh machine, one with 2 stations, but my husband and I have been too busy to finish putting it together, maybe after vacation we will have time. Tracey

Sidenote...I was courious so I went and weighed myself down 2 pounds so 147 down and 3 pounds from Doc's goal. Tracey

I am still waiting for my PCP to supply my surgeon with all med reports. I hope that by this time next year I am well healed from surgery and racing toward my goal weight. Today my husband is taking me for a drive along the beach. Next year I hope to be able to walk it!

Well, I'm waiting with anticipation of the consult I scheduled with Dr. Barry Haicken on June 9th!!!! I can not envision myself thin, as I have never been. So, I can not wait for the new me!!!!!! ~Roiann

I will be soon be 9 months post-op down 125 lbs still have another 75 to my goal of -200. I have slowed down in weightloss but I am much more active. Went to the public pool this past saturday with my 2 daughters and 5 grankids had a great time they were all going to the beach today but I backed out because I really got enough sun on saturday so now I am cleaning my closets out of BIG cothes I cant believe allthe big clothes I have bag after bag and now a empty closet. everyone have a safe and happy holiday Nancy

Hello Florida Members!!! Well I am 7 mths. and 10 days out I am down 107lbs. I exercise 5-6 times a week 30-45 minutes a day mostly cardio have to start adding weights as the skin is going south (LOL)! Feel great all around. Continued success to us all!!! Mayra

I have had a huge disappointment this week. I have found out Tricare has changed the regulations and put in an exclusion for the DS. (No one need panic -- the RNY is not effected) But as of April 21, 2005-- they tell me the DS is no longer a covered benefit. I am now trying to find out why it is no longer a covered benefit. As some of you may know I was planning on going to Ohio to have Dr. Maguire perform the DS. I was just finishing up my pre-op requirements. All I needed was the nutritionist consult. I have decided I will go ahead and submit paperwork and let them deny me and then appeal. I was given a referral to a nutritionist at a hosptial near me but I have been waiting a week for her to call me back -- so if anyone knows a nutritionist in the Orlando area that takes Tricare let me know.
