3 days post op!

Hey, checking in! HOme from my surgery and doing well. Had my first dump in the hospital on the applesauce they gave me on the day I was going home, it was horrible! But I'm doing well,except for a head ache I've had since I got up from surgery? Is it from the anesthesia? Anyway, got my fluids in and protein, thanks to unjury. Saw Karen in the hospital, but Sally was already discharged by the time I got around to walking. I was groggy for several days. Have thrush, fun wow, on the niastin swish and swallow. My mom is here pampering me. Ate some cottage cheese and jello. Not hungry, just miss the taste of things in my mouth. Thank you all for your prayers and for checking in on me, you are the best! I'm so glad you're home and that you're Mom is pampering you. You'll start noticing that everyday you'll feel better and better. The only thing worse than dumping is not dumping! Now you know you can't tolerate sugar and that's a blessing. Keep in touch, Rhonda

Gloria Your home!!!!Welcome girly. I've missed you. I also had a headache after surgery for a FEW days. I was so use to taking Motrin every time I felt one coming on,but now I'm not allowed to! I think I developed ulcers due to it. I was so scared to take any thing for the headache that I just waited them out. OH! I'm glad your home and let Mommie pamper girl!!!!But dont over due itjust kidding. xoxoxox Rosie

Hey Tami So glad everything went well for you and that you are home recuperating! You mentioned a headache... were you on morphine for pain? I had it with my hyster. surgery and UGH!!! It gave me awful migraines and nausea. I have since learned that alot of people have headaches from morphine. Just a thought. Keep us posted on how your doing and welcome home hun. Sallykate

I am so glad to hear your home and doing good. I am sorry about the dumping...I had my first dumping experience in the hospital too. Rest and relax, glad to hear your mom is taking good care of you, my mom did the same thing but the percocet helped during Charlie. Tracey
