We need some help finding a house.....

Welcome to the Sunshine State! I live just up the road from Fort Myers in Port Charlotte.(aka Hurricane Central) We are a great community even though we are still recovering from "Charley" There are plenty of nice neighborhoods in Lee County. Cape Coral and Burnt Store Meadows are near me. Just make sure that if you are buying an existing home that all hurricane repairs have been completed. The homeowner's insurance market here has folks jumping through hoops these days. Most major companies are backing away from writing new policies and the smaller companies are requiring a 4 point inspection (roof,plumbing. electric and mold) Your realtor should be able to direct you to a qualified inspector before you close a deal.
