Consent?????

I am schedlued to see my Dr for a consent, is this just where they explain all of the possible complications and bad stuff? I'm not sure what to expect or whats going to happen.. Does anyone have any ideas????

Maybe consult? Is the doc the surgeon or pcp doc or what? The consult for the surgeon is where you get to meet him/her and they explain and go over the procedures and what to do next.

Yes, that is correct - at your consult the surgeon will explain what he does or he does a comparison of one surgery vs the others and what complications can arise and what he expects you to do after surgery. Follow his instructions cause that will safe your life. If need be, take a note pad and that way whatever he tells you - you can ask questions. Good luck to you - your date quickly approaches!!
