irritated! frustrated! impatient!!!!!
Ok, so I need to vent a little. We've changed insurance companies, everything is ready except the cards. I can't submit my info with the insurance cards! We contacted them and put a rush on it, but they sent us the PPo cards again instead of the HMO.....well, on the phone again and they verified we ARE on the HMO....so they're sending new cards......I've got my cardiac release(due to hypertension), respiratory release (due to asthma), psych release (done back on aug 04-which may be the only problem, depends on if they'll accept it based on time frame, so I might have to do my psych again-which is $400!!!!) six month physician supervised diet, refferal letter from my primary care physician. And now, I'm just waiting. I thought I was a patient person, but I've never been so close to getting this done!!!!!
The anxiety, wait and wonder is wrecking havoc on my body as well....I've gone up another size in my clothing!!! Talk about frustrating. ARGH!
I HEAR YOU!!! GO ahead and rant! This process can be THE most frustrating thing in the world...
After you have a good rant and rave, take a deep breath and think positive thoughts like, I am much closer than I was 6 months from now or at least it's only a stupid card glitch and not an exclusion and one I use often on myself... a year after my surgery this will be barely a memory.
That's Dr. Sallykate's advice! LOL
But really it helps me when I am getting antsy. I guess I psych myself out. hehe
Just wanted to let you know I hear ya hun. I am playing that same waiating game with ya!
Hugs,
Sallykate

Does your insurance company have a web site? I just changed over to my husband's policy, so I am still with Aetna. They dragged their heels on getting me a new card, BUT...they have a setion on their web site where you can print a copy (front and back) of your card! I printed it out and was still able to make it to my appointments.
Hopefully...?
