Phoenix's Food Idea
Hey all! It's been awhile since I posted a new food find, so I thought I would post a delicious Protein shake that I concocted. In my last food find, I mentioned a sugar free apple cider mix--well I found another unbelievable use for it!
Phoenix's Cinabanapple Protein Shake
2 scoops of your favorite Vanilla protein powder (I use the Wish Center's)
1/2 packet of Sugar Free Apple Cider powder
1/2 small banana
1/2 tspn cinnamon
A few ice cubes (more or less depending on your thickness preference)
Okay, I through all of this into a blender and whipped it up and it made the most delicious 33.5g of protein I've had in awhile. (While I love my other drinks, I was getting burnt out on my usual protein shakes..i.e. Nectar). Enjoy!!

Hi Phoenix, I read your post and then checked out your profile. GREAT JOB on your weight loss...U should be proud. U sound like you have your life's goals in order and are taking life by the horns!!! Next, I have to tell you that your profile made me cry. I am so sorry that your grandparents are both experiencing cancer-it's a evil disease. When it spreads so quickly, I hope God works his miracles and either guides human hands to help them, or call them home so he can relieve them of any prolonged suffering. (I hope that doesn't sound horrible to say...I have to think like that to not get depressed.) At their ages, they have had full lives, and I hope you and your family hold them (the memories) close to your heart.
I will keep your profile in my mind to check up on you...I wish you a peaceful and speedy continued recovery. Enjoy your trip back home!!! Laurie P. Pensacola...
Laurie,
Thanks for you response!! I am glad that my profile touched somebody...and I agree about my grandparents. If they have to go I wish them to be together. I am not saying I want them to go, but they have shared over 50 years and had 12 children together--it would almost seem fitting. Thanks for your kind words, it really is good to have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Phoenix, missed seeing you around the board. Your find sounds good but no banana or cinamon (allergies). Just went to read you updated profile. You're doing awesome with your weightloss. Seems we have something in common. Am waiting for biopsy on son in law's bladder mass. Is there really no help for bladder cancer? Sending both your grands prayers. Is he is any pain with bladder?
P.s. did you buy anything in LA on your shopping excursion?
Ginny,
There is some help for bladder cancer, thankfully it is a slow developed/spreading cancer...it's just that with my grandfather's age and his illnesses they said the best route is to place a catheter in and use that for the chemo therapy. He is in some pain, but I haven't heard directly from him since he's been diagnosed...it was just a few days ago and they are not ready to speak on the phone yet. I will send prayers your way to for your son-in-law!!!
On a lighter note, yes I did shop in LA...it was awesome, although I have already outgrown the clothes the show bought me! LOL I swear I'm buying new things every 3 weeks (but no complaints here, I'm broke and HAPPY!!!) How are you doing?

Thnaks for the prayer for son in law. All this came to light on his birthday, May 17th and he and my daughter are livid. They have 2 babies. His dad passed away from lung cancer at 49. If anything maybe his age will help or possibly a miracle. They are waiting till Friday when the biospy is done to inform his mom...either way she is not going to be a happy woman.
As for me...I am having daily vomiting. Sometimes I get lucky and go for a day or two. I taking meds for nausea but nausea is not causing the vomiting. I can only eat soup or cottage chesse and you'd think I would be farther along than 40 lbs. I just started to exercise my tummy on pilates and am back to my regular vitamins and supplements after 3 months so we will see if that makes a difference.
The show will be awesome so don't forget to let us know ahead of time.
Clothing as been a real challenge and I am sticking to silks since I can fudge my size with that fabric...I am fitting into some of my 10's from prior to weight gain in 2001 but I am so looking forward to buy new once my size stablizes.
