Has anyone used Dr. Rehnke?

Hello all. I just wanted to know how things went with Dr. Rehnke? I have my consultation appointment with him on the 16 of June. Can't wait? Hope to be on the losing side soon.

I had a friend who used Dr. Rehnke. On the whole he was pleased. However he had his staples and retention bars removed at two weeks and on the way home his incision opened up and he was rehospitlilized and had to have surgery to close the incision. The only other concern I have with Dr. Rehnke is that he only requires you to take a prenatal vitamin after surgery. No B12, calcium, iron etc. Good Luck! Julie

Hi Tammila, Dr. Rehnke did my open RNY in January of 2002 and all I can say is that he saved my life. I am an RN and made sure that I checked with physicians and nurses in St. Pete to get to know more about him. He is an excellent surgeon and is highly respected in the medical and nursing community. If you attend one of his support group meetings you will see that many of his patients are nurses.
