I'm at a lost, but can anyone tell me the difference between ryn proximal (sp) and ryn distal? I'm turning in for the night. But if any one reply's to my post it will be answered in the morning, sorry I can't hold out much longer, working from 5am to 5 pm 6 days a wee****il my surgery (June 13). So I'm exhausted. in the distal procedure... more of the intestine is bypassed compared to the proximal

I was trying to find your question in a measurement and this is what I found online... My understanding of Proximal is that it is where less than 150 cm of intestines are by-passed and Distal is greater than 150 cm of intestines by-passed. HTH, Sallykate
