Major Milestones!!
I've just got to brag a little...
I'm a little over 3 months post-op and down 60+ lbs. This past Saturday my son graduated from college with his degree in Nuclear Engineering. This was a major milestone for him, but it also created a milestone for me.
I didn't buy a new outfit for graduation, thinking I could wear one of my nice outfits I had "outgrown" a few years back, no sense spending money on something I plan to "lose out of" in a few weeks, right? I was wearing 26/28s before surgery and most of those nice clothes were 24s and some 22s. Much to my surprise they were all too BIG!! I had to rush out to buy something and I found a beautiful, very flattering pantsuit in a size 20!! I was dumbfounded that I was already down to a size 20!!
WOW!!! Is what my brother said when he saw me (none of the family, except my husband and younger son, have seen me since my surgery). Everyone was so impressed with my weight loss, how well I'm doing and how great I look. And, even if I do say so myself, I looked pretty darn good!!
Life after weight loss surgery is GREAT!!!!
