BUSY BEE!!! sorry long

Hi everyone...hope you are all having a very good weekend so far....well I went to my appt on Thursday at Dr Haicken's office...Christine is wonderful...she gave me the list of tests and such that I have to get done before I meet Dr Haicken (even though I met him today at the support group ) well Friday morning was I ever the busy bee..here is the check list of what I need and what I have done...sorry its long but I am excited that the ball is rolling again... 1. chest x-ray.....DONE 2. EKG................DONE 3. ultrasound on upper right quadrant of abdomen (gall bladder)...don't need ..already gone 4. appt with gastroenterologist...made for May 31st to set up for upper GI 5. appt with pulmonologist...made for May 24th to set up for sleep apnea test 6. report from dietician...getting from previous health group so ...DONE 7. report from psych...also getting from previous health group....DONE 8. 7 different blood tests run....DONE so looks like everything is moving right along...hope it all goes smoothly as friday went...I can't believe I got everything done or scheduled all in one morning... you would think I want this surgery or something huh.... I went to the support group meeting this morning...was introduced to Linda R she got rolled in also ...she looked good for having her surgery yesterday... well guess this is long enough...sorry all for rambling.....like I said I am excited it is all moving again Have a great day all!!! Sounds great April, I understand the busy bee thing. I just had my tests. My sleep test is a day after yours. Good luck to ya girl.

Hi Ginny, nope...only things I had done were the nutritional eval and the psych eval...oh and of course the blood work, but that was it...think that is why I got denied by Staywell...but I am getting all bases covered by this new surgeon I am going with...so hey..things all happen for a reason and this switch is a sign...it will all work out good...have a great evening... April- Did they give you any indication about approval from Staywell? I would hate to see you disappointed again.

April, Congratulations on deciding to have this surgery, and for picking the best surgeon in the country,(in my humble opinion). If my daughter had not come in to town, my wife and I would have been at the meeting. My wife had surgery with Dr. Haicken 10/02, she went from 240 pounds to 120 pounds. I had surgery with him 04/04, and went from 385 pounds to 220 pounds. Dr. Haicken has a great staff, a great support system, a great pre-op and post-op program, and he is the best surgeon. If you do what he says, you will be successful. You are doing a great job on your testing, you have the right Idea, knock them all out asap, the sooner the better, do not let them drag out. Hi Steve, thanks for the great reply...I read your wife's profile and I see she also started out with Dr Murr as I did....I really liked Dr Haicken's office people and I met him at the support group...I really liked what I saw and heard...you and your wife have done great and that is a good inspiration including all that I met or saw at the support group...I will also be coming to more of them...probably just the Saturday ones because it is easier so I can send my kids to their dads for that day...I have your email and number down...I am sure I will use them both......hope you are having a great weekend...take care April
