I hope and trust that you all had a wonderful Mothers Day... Share one your favorite Mothers Day moments with us. Either about your mother or you as a mother. I LOVE mothers day... Now that my children are a little older, my mothers days get more interesting every year. I adore the homemade cards that I get and keep every single one of them. Sometimes my children put on plays for me after serving me breakfast in bed and giving me cards with free "coupons" in them. I love my "free back rub" coupons and my "maid for a day" not to mention my "free pedicure" vouchers! Yep! I use em too This year was going to be Shakespeare's play, The Merchant of Venice, but it was not quite ready so it will be performed for me later. I did enjoy a handmade puppet show today and it was delightful. A puppet made in my likeness was the star! That was followed by an "expressive" dance performance on the lawn. How CUTE! Now I see why Mothers Day was so importnat to my mother when I was little. It is such a special day. Sallykate

I do not have children. And I suppose the memory that stands out from my childhood would be going to church on Mother's Day. The women and girls always wore flowers. If your mother was living you wore red flowers and if your mother was dead you wore white flowers.

My favorite mothers day.. I have four children. My oldest daughter was 16 she picked up the rest of the kids and brought me flowers and a professional photo she had made of all of my children to work. I was so touched. It meant alot to me.

Hi Sallykate, well I have 4 children ages from 7 to 18, do you remember when they start school either kindergarten or 1st grade they make you a gift with the hand print on it with a poem...well not only did I get the one from my 7yr old daughter this year...I got a special one with a finger print and a handprint from the 18 yr old...cried trying to read the poem...so its long but I have to tell it to you guys....here it is.... Sometimes you got discouraged because I was so small and always left my fingerprints on furniture and walls. But every day since I've grown up, and now I am so tall, That all those tiny fingerprints Are hard to recall. So here's a final fingerprint Just so you can say, This is how my fingerprints looked when I placed them here today. Now I'm graduating, so I just wanted to say How important you are to me each and every day. But soon I will be leaving, And I wanted you to know That all those things you taught me Have required me to grow. So, I'm leaving you my hand prints And when you feel alone You can put your hand in mine Even if I'm far from home. lol made me cry typing it ...go figure...wow how mushy us moms can be...and the best mothers day I can remember with mom was her just being here...the emptiness that is there now that she is gone is horrible...I love her dearly and miss seeing her on this special day for my special mom!! Have a great day all April
