omg... how can i do this... :angst:
ok I went to my first class that the insurance is requiring me to take before i can get surgery.. For CHP you have to attend 1 yrs worth of classes before you get a deffinate approval which is good because i will have help and will be able to go to a support group thingy once a week.. But to make a long story short... I have to lose 10% of my body weight.Thats 35 lbs being that im already at 350. Thoughts have run through my mind of just eating and thorwing it up but i know thats not the answer, then i thought about taking alot of exlax and water pills but that is not the answer either.. I am not whining about it at all, Im just worried that I will not be able to do this.. every diet i have been on i lose about 20 lbs then im usually stuck.. for about a month then it SLOWLY comes off. I am walking but sometimes at my weight it can be more of a pain then a gain. I have rumatoid arthritis and diabeties and sometimes my feet hurt so bad I want to cry, but I dont because i Know if i do this all of this hurt will go away. At least the hurt in my body. Im so scared about this.. I have alot going on in my life right now and have been through hell and back the last 5 yrs or so .. I have to stay focused and do this... I MUST DO IT FOR ME AND ALSO FOR MY BEAUTIFUL BOYS . so i can be there in a few years to see them off to college....
I know that it's hard to change our lifestyle before I had my surgery they put me on an 8 week regimen I had to work out 6 days a week and I was ike " there is no way I can do this" but I am glad I did. My advice to you is
try eating smaller portions you can have a little of everything anf take your time eating it the slower you eat the fuller you'll feel. Now about the excercise is ther any way you could maybe do some water aerobics? or excercise in a pool that way you don't have to strain your feel and get a full work out for your whole body. If you want someone to talk to just let me know.

Hey Emily,
I want you to take it easy. As you know I too went thru the same program. I had to lose 10% of my excess which was 28 pounds. I didn't I gained 10 more!!! It did not stop my approval at all. As a matter of fact, I lost 9 pounds the week before surgery, cause I had so much anxiety. So don't worry, it will be alright.
