Hi guys, Wednesday! Halfway through your week. I sure hope it is going good for you. I am posting Wednesday's question before midnight because my pain killers (from the car accident) have kicked in and I can't stay awake til after midnight...forgive me. Hubby saw what I was doing and made this question up. I thought we could have some fun with it... If the president or some other dignitary were coming to your house for dinner next week, would you change anything? What would you change? I would clean my house like I do anytime company comes. I would prepare a nice dinner and NOT serve out of the pots. That is only done when old friends come over. I don't think I would change anything really. I have thought and thought and honestly, I wouldn't. I am who I am... "importrant" guest or not. All my guests are important to me and so I cannot see me being or doing anything differently. I'm old fashioned I guess. Sallykate

I think I would try to treat him like I do all my guest. Maybe use my real dishes rather than paper. But of course that would depend on how many people I was feedling. More then 12 and I would not have enough plates.

I'd probably hire a cleaning crew to get my house immaculate (friends love me in spite of my clutter and dust bunnies). I'd LOCK my son's room b/c there are so many boxes & clothes on the floor you can't even walk in there (he just moved back home) and I wouldn't even ask a paid cleaning service to try to clean in there! I'd serve dinner in the dining room on the good china just like I do for all major holidays (3 times a year, max!). Or, if the Secret Service could protect us from the mosquitos, we'd cook something on the grill & eat beside the pool. Oh, and I'd put fresh flowers throughout the house - an extravagance that I wish I could afford to do everyday! Vickie J.

At first I read this as what would I do if "W" was coming to dinner, and I guess I thought I would do things differently if it were him verses say another President. But really in the end like you I would be myself, and do nice things as I would for any company. To me the president needs to see "normal" american people, so no rushing out and buy nice china, we'd be eating off my Correlle, and I only have 4 settings so the others would get Chinette. I'd make lasagna and cookie bars for dessert.

Since "W" is from Texas and I'm in So. FL.....I would just clean-up the grill and enjoy a pool side barbecue. I might buy the Chinet paper plates instead of the cheap thin kind........ LuvitsunnyVB~lo/goal
