Question of the day...

Whew! Thank God you guys are ok!!!!! As far as car accidents go with me, do you have a minute? Well...I am 23 years old and on my 6th car...does that tell you something? LOL And NONE of them were my fault. I actually had back surgery 2 times due to 2 separate car accidents. (That's why I am 23 and have owned 2 houses too-not worth the price I had to pay for the money, but a BIG help after obtaining a bad back so young!) Hmm..my first car was a Beretta that my stepdad's company used as a company car. He gave it to me after HS graduation, and two weeks later it blew up on me...literally. My stepsis and I were driving down the road when the gas pedal became loose and smoke starting pouring out from under the hood...we coasted into a Smuggler's Cover Mini golf course and got out just in time for flames to start licking the tires. When the firemen got there, they made everybody back up and started shouting "Back up she's gonna blow!" Then I watched as my first car ever blew the hood clear up in the sky just like in the movies...ugh..that was scary. My second car I got from the insurance money on the first...a cute little Camry. Well, that was my worst. I was 19 and my 16 yr old sis was in the car with me and we were rear ended. The person in front of me stopped short and the guy behind me didn't even attempt to stop. They had to use the JOL to get us out. That was my first back surgery. My next car was a Plymouth Acclaim, once again bought with insurance money. That one I pulled onto a road and a car from the opposite lane crossed over the median and clipped the front end. Thankfully it was not totalled, but the car was already a lemon...so I traded up to a new Corolla when I got my first settlement. That car was awesome and lasted me until I moved to Tampa when I was 21. I was "T-boned" by someone and that totalled that car. There was my second back surgery, and my next settlement bought me and my husband our current cars. A new Ford Focus and a new Dodge Caravan. Amazingly, I still have safe driver rates and my car insurance is still EXTREMELY low and of course...FULL COVERAGE!! So far so good...LOL I had developed PTSD from all those accidents, but I get through it without meds. I still have a hard time getting in major traffic or interstates, but I get better all the time. Sally - ooh my Goodness...I hope that everyone will be okay. Poor little guy - he was soo brave!!! I've had had a couple of times I've been rearended and been okay but when I was about 16 I was with my mom, sister and her boyfriend. We were going to church and a drunk driver crossed the median and hit us straight on. We could have gone off the bridge but didn't. My leg got pinned under the seat, my mom got banged and had a big gash on her leg. My sister's glasses broke on her face and could have easily caused blindess and my sister's boyfriend (now husband) was pinned against the wheel but as bad as it sounds it turned out alright. We were okay despite being banged up.

Sallykate, I am so happy you and yours are all good. I will keep you in my prayers. I was in a fender bender recently...everyone was fine. I recently moved to florida from Maryland, originally from NYC. I think people drive crazy in Florida with that said Where I live everyone is from somewhere else. I met 5 people who live in Cape coral and were born in Florida...but still I keep two cars distances from these speeding no turn signal using drivers... God Bless AnnaMarie
