panhandle,Fl meet and greet
Hi Lisa,
I think the idea of doing a cook-out is great. We could all bring dishes of wonderful food and share. What kind of parks or beach areas are around you that we could meet at.? There are a few here, but I think Destin or further East might be better. There is an area in Destin called Henderson Park. I know it cost like $2.00 to get in, but I'm not sure if there is an area to picnic at.
I will try to find a number and call and see if we need to reserve or find out if there is an area to grill. It is right on the beach, so we could take a dip in the ocean as well. I know that there are other areas as well. LEt me do some research and get back to you on places. Also, the 18th of June sounds good. Gives everyone enough time to plan. I will check on other places and get back to ya'll.
Hugs,
Beth

Sounds all good to me.. Just let me know..the park pavillion here in PCB is free but needs to be reserved a head of time.. but Henderson park sounds good too.. check to see about a pavillion , pick nic tables, grills..etc...
and a cost to get into the park..
I am up for any suggestions!
about the dishes..My husband and I would provide the meat.. then ask others to bring a favorite dish they have learned to prepare..and include the recipes for them..it was just an idea but it sounded good to me..I would love new recipes and nothing better to actually sample them to see if we like it before we make it..
anyways.. let me know..
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Sounds great...I think the park as a meet and greet with the area for the kids to play is a GREAT idea. I will be a newby post-op...I hope I'll be feeling well for the ride (I live in Pensacola.) I LOVE the idea of the recipe taste and trade...would SURELY help a newbee like me!
Please keep me informed.
Thanks,
Laurie
