did anyone get a surgery date before approval?

I was just wondering if anyone got a surgery date before an approval. I did I went to the seminar and immediately got an appt with the surgeon for an evaluation, I walked out with a surgery appt. for May 16 I am almost done with my preops. Well if you've experiensed this pls let me know so that I can stop worrying

I had several. hahaha. The surgeon's office will do that because they have to submit a date to the insurance company for approval. That date may or may not change depending on how long your insurance takes.
