Dr faxed info to bc/bs empire today
Spoke with Rose at Dr Nye's office today and she called for approval, all ducks in a roll, but they no longer give approval over the phone, Just last month she was able to. Things change. But then the case worker told her I would have to have a pre surgical medical clearence??? This is new. So I made another appointment with my PCP for Monday 5/2. I'm so up tight that I can't relax. I read everyone's profile to give me courage, but then I see someone who has been denied and think that could be me. I'm really trying to be positive. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

You know I was one of the lucky ones who got it when they did it over the phone. But I think bc/bs is great and they will approve you. I fought with another company for a year. When our insurance switched in December to bc/bs of fl, they approved me right away, no problem. I did have all the evals done so that made it easier. I wish you the best, and I am confident you will have the postive outcome you want.

Jerrie, a pre-surgical medical clearance is for your own protection, so if there's a problem, believe me, you wouldn't want to chance going under the knife. Relax, if there's a problem, it will be something you need to address to keep you healthy and safe and that's what this surgery is all about in the first place.
