Florida friends... I need your help please?
Someone at your insurance company needs their hair pulled. It is so ridiculous what they are doing. You bet I'll be sending positive thoughts and good vibrations your way for the approval you need.
I am sorry to hear about your experience. The squeaky wheel will get the oil, make a nuisance of yourself. You are paying the insurance company for your benefits and you are entitled to know what is going on. They work for you. Hang in there, and please keep us posted!

Aetna is horrible. I went through the same thing.
First they didn't get my stuff. Then they said they got it. Then they said they never got it. Then they said they need more information. Then they said they never recieved ANYTHING from my doctor. I screamed and yelled and threatened to sue. Finally, when I was exasperated, i had my HR department look into it. Our renewal was right around the corner (we're a small company, with 300 employees.). She had our sales rep look into it. I went from them not having any documentation (supposedly) on a Thursday to being approved on the following Monday.
They are the worst. But, suffer through it and it will work out. My surgery is tommorrow. 4/27.
Good luck. I know what you are going through.
I have Aetna and am having the same problem. I was told by my Dr. office that this is their normal operating status. Stall, Stall, "what paperwork?", stall, stall, stall, "we don't have anything on that" , stall, stall, and stall some more.
It's been 18 days since my Dr. filed the paperwork. And I am still waiting! I am not getting anywhere with calling. I don't know if it is doing any good either. (Mine seems to think they don't have the paperwork...and they don't really want to talk with me- they want my Dr. office)
I will keep you in my prayers. I know the waiting is awful!!!!
Linda
