One year anniversary

I am usually just a lurker but I just had to share. Tomorrow I will be one year post-op and as of this morning have lost 200 pounds from my starting weight of 458. That was a big goal for me to hit in my first year and am so happy to have made it. I still have 70 pounds to go but know I will get there eventually. It is so amazing how much this surgery has done for my life. I feel like a human being again who likes to do things instead of hide in the safe confines of my home. I am no longer afraid that everyone I pass is laughing at me and that is a true miracle. I am still a food addict but I work at it everyday and know it will always be a struggle. I just want to wish you all the success in the world and I will try not to be such a lurker

Leah, That is wonderful. I hope your going to do something special for yourself to celebrate your anniversary, and meeting that goal is just outstanding. Keep up the good work and you'll lose that 70 lbs. before you know it. Stephanie
