A Miracle!!!

This has been the strangest few days I can remember! I lost my job on Friday with no warning and it sure doesn't make any sense that I can tell, but my attitude is good and I know things happen for a reason. In the day and a half that I've been unemployed, I've made 4 job contacts and I think I'm going to have an offer by the end of the week! That's great, right? But tonight I got a call from a hospital staff member who I know from my job and he asked me out on a date!!! I haven't been asked out on a date in MANY, MANY years!!! I said no because I've actually been seeing my ex-husband, but honestly this guy and I wouldn't be compatible at all. He's a nice guy, but just not for me. Anyway, I'm so incredibly flattered that someone asked!!! Wow, what a surprise!! Jan the babe!!!!

I know the job loss was a shock but like you said, everything happens for a reason. I am sure you will have a job offer soon. As far as the guy asking for a date...............WOW and Way to go, Jan the BABE!! You are on the dating list now!!! I also agree with Alexa. I think it is time for a new pic. Carol

Wow, what a shocker that would be to suddenly lose your job. Keep up the good attitude, though, because I'm sure there is a better job a waitin' for you right around the corner. And, I bet you are lookin' so now that you will be having to fight off the dudes!! Betti

The job search is progressing nicely and it's just a matter of time before I start somewhere. I'm not the slightest bit concerned. As for the date, I definitely said no. He's a nice enough guy, but every other word that comes out of his mouth starts with an "F", and that gets a bit much. Also he calls me (and everyone else) "dude". So, there's no "F 'in way I'd date him, dude"!!! Also, he's the size of a horse jockey! Just not my type and Amy, he's not your type either! By the way, it's WAY overdue for a picture change, and if I can get my digital camera working, I promise to try to get it updated soon. My face is thin, thin, thin and I wish I wouldn't lose one more ounce from the waist up! I have a few more lbs. to lose from the waist down, but not on top. Jan

I am sorry to hear about your "sudden" unemployment but like you...I believe it is because something better is going to present itself to you. My, my, my, the confidence you exude! Jan, I admire you're positive attitude...i've been going through some stress due to feeling that I might lose my job at any time - and here u posting that you lost yours with no apparent reason. I'm actively looking- and maybe it would be for the best if the boss just said - goodbye to me. You're a tough strong woman - God bless. I'm trying to hang on as I actively seek. And Good luck on dating your ex-husband..that is the one you should be with. Cause no matter - the other guy doesn't sound like much of a prize..especially if he's "f" everything you don't need to be around that. Good job on recognizing the proud beautiful woman that you are - and deserving of a decent loving man - not just one with a pe**. Congratulations - I know you (and I) will get through this!!

**HIJACK KINDA** Hiya Jan!! How are you doing? Me, Im doing well. Paul and I got married on March 25th in Gatlinburg. Im sorry to hear about your job loss . We found out 2 weeks ago we are having a boy. My WL is staying stable kinda, I am still at like 84 down and holding even at 22 weeks pregnant. I guess its good I havent put on a ton a weight. Well anyhow I just wanted to check in because it had been a while. Lynn
