Just checking in

Hi Everyone, Just thought I would drop in and say hello to all my fellow OH posters. Omar has been dealing with a very severe sinus infection so he hasn't been in the best of moods. I've been trying to deal with my dad's death. I do ok during the day but the nights are pretty bad. I know it will get better but it seems like when it rains it pours here at our house. Omar and I are dealing with many different issues right now so I have been having some major pity parties. LOL On the upside his dad is coming up from Miami for a visit which is great. I love his dad dearly and it's more important than ever for us to spend time with him since he is the last surviving parent we have between us. He is so totally supportive of us and we owe him a great deal. Since we had to cancel March's get together because of my dad being ill, if anyone is interested in doing something this month please let me know and I will set something up. Amy had emailed me and suggested getting our two groups together for the M&G in May so I think we will do that. But as I have always said, if anyone out there needs to meet with me and Omar anytime, please let us know. We loce hanging out at coffeehouses and bookstores. Dawn, I was thinking of having the next Central FL M&G on Saturday, 5/14 but with enough notice on the board, we can change that. I just cant attend the following two weekends in May myself. I know Omar probably works on Saturdays, so maybe we should move it to a Sunday and think of another place. I was even considering an activity, if anyone thought they would be interested ~ bowling, picnic, putt putt, etc. before it gets too hot. Or we can do a restaurant gathering or meet at the food court like usual. I am completely open to suggestions! What do those of you who usually attend thinK?????????? Amy

I'd like to come and meet you all. This weekend I am out of town, but hopefully I can come where ever you meet. Sunday afternoons (after church) is good for me. I am o k with meeting at the food court or doing an activity. I just look forward to meeting you all.

Hi Dawn, sorry for what you are going through, it is so hard to lose a father. Our dad's are our first loves and whe are so attached!!!! I know I wouldn't function properly for months if something were to happend to my dad. He and I talked about his health this past week... anyway, i hope you find peace in your heart soon, and are able to enjoy the memories you have. I wanna get together, let me know when/where. Vivi

Dawn, I' m sorry to hear about your dad. Sorry to hear about Omar being sick too. I am really glad Omars dad is coming down, that will be good for you guys. Anyway, I have always loved going to Panera bread with you guys, I hope you we can have it there this month, I will be there if you have it.
