Hunter's Mom Follow Up

I spoke to my friend, Hunter Friday evening and he said they have finally diagnosed that his mother has an aneurysm stemming from hitting her head on the window in the truck during the accident last week. Right now, they are going to do more testing to determine if they should operate or not. Then of course the family will have to decide if they want to risk brain surgery or not. His mother will remain in the hospital indefinitely until they know more. If any of you know about aneurysms, they are something that can burst at any time in the brain so this is a very scary situation. My mother actually had an aneurysm when I was a young child and she went thru surgery and is perfectly healthy today, however the risk is very, very high with or without surgery for brain damage or death if it bursts. Please continue to keep my friend and his family in your thoughts and prayers. This is a very difficult situation for all of them right now. Thanks so much, Amy

Amy, I didn't see a post about this until now, but I was thinking about your friend's family all the way home from the Meet & Greet last week. I'm sorry his mother was injured so badly and I'll certainly keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Jan

Yes, aneurysms are scary stuff. I am glad they found out WHAT it was, though. Not knowing is even scarier. Now they can start working on the fix. I will continue to send thoughts and prayers for her and her family. Carol

I agree, I would rather know what the diagnosis was than not ever know. Hopefully, there is a positive ending to this situation, right now it is too much for them all to digest.

My uncle died in 1974 of an undiagnosed aneurysm, two weeks before his wedding. Thank goodness that Hunter's Mom is receiving great medical care and they have diagnosed the aneurysm - I am told now that it's half the battle. She is in our prayers and also in good hands. Kristen

Amy, I am sorry to hear about your friend's family. I will definitely pray for his mom! My mom's father and her sister passed from undiagnosed brain anuerysms, so it is a good thing for sure that she was diagnosed and now they can proceed with treatment. While it is a scary situation, just keep up those prayers, medical and modern science has evolved so much throughout the years, that there are greater options and more chance of success. My prayers are going out! -Phoenix

Amy, That IS a very scary situation for hunter and his mother to be in. I will definitely continue to keep hunter 's mother in my prayers. Please keep us updated. I am back to work on 04/11. Not really looking forward to it, but hey we gotta pay those bills don't we?!!! I am actually doing pretty good no problems at all since surgery. I am have really been blessed. I am down 38lbs so I still have along way to go. But I just take things one day at a time. MissKrissyk 02/15/05 -38lbs

Amy, I'm glad that the docs now know what is the medical problem with Hunter's mom - praying that she will get better soon and that there won't be any brain damage after or if there is surgery. His family is in my prayers!
