Cleveland Clinic, opinions??

Hi everyone - Hope you all are doing well. I am searching for a surgeon who does the surgery (laparscopic) and have been told the Cleveland clinic does. Trying to find someone who has had their surgery performed there and how their experience was, and also how medicaid is as far as approving the surgery. Any info. you have would be greatly appreciated. Also any advice you have to offer reguarding post -op anxiety !!!! Thankyou all Rhonda

i had my surgery there... everything was great.... but i think they no longer accept medicaid.... dr cox does in ft. lauderdale... i dont know what hospital he is at

My GF had a lap band at Cleveland Clinic and was not impressed. How far are you from Jupiter, Florida? My surgeon, Dr. Jefferson Vaughan was spectacular as was his staff and hospital. I originally was going to have my surgery there, but it was taking too long to get things done. Hope you have better success.

Hi Rhonda, Both my husband Omar and I had our surgeries at the CC and our experience was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for better care and Dr. Rosenthal is the best. We both have Medicaid and as far as we know they are still excepting it because we go for our follow-ups and haven't had a problem. Omar is 2 years post-op and has lost over 330 pounds and I'm 6 1/2 months out and have lost 125 pounds and neither of us has had any complications. Sincerely, Dawn Post-Op 9/23/04 399/274/200

dr. harry sax in rochester ny did my RNY through medicade no questions asked ,and does it laperscopic as well, 3 days in hosp. and then home.
