Anyone know if Dr Tenewitz will get back to WLS soon?

Hi Everyone, I have been researching WLS since Nov 2004 and have been wanting to get into see Dr. F Edward Tenewitz. However, the program is on hold due to not being able to do surgeries at the hospitals in our area. Has anyone in the Central Fl area had any success in seeing Dr. T since Nov '04 about WLS? Or do you know any other information about this? What can you suggest or who can you suggest to see at this point? I live in Rockledge which is the Space Coast area. I really liked Dr T's patient reviews and I have a friend who used him. I don't know why I can seem to get past having someone else at this point. Any help you have to offer would be appreciated. Lori, I live in Cocoa and had surgery in Ocala. From what I have heard Dr. Tenewitz is no longer performing bariatrics. There is also a good group in Celebration from what I have heard. Best of luck.

Hi..I did see Tenewitz in Dec. 04 and learned he no longer had hospital privelages. I ended up with the US Bariatric team at Celebration - Dr. Kim is the surgon. I had my surgery on 3/21/05 and am doing fine. My experience was WONDERFUL!! The staff at his office and at the hospital were helpful, happy, and very kind. I am so glad the surgery is over and I am on my way to a skinnier me. E-mail me if you have any ?'s. Good Luck
