Hi All, I had wls on 02/15 so today makes me exactly 5 weeks postop and it looks like I have already hit a pleatau! The first couple of weeks were good I have lost a total of 27lbs. But I have not lost one pound in 2 weeks. Is it normal to hit a pleatau this early? I am on the treadmill for 30-45 min atleast 3 times a week Im taking my vitiams everyday and I am trying my very best to get in all of my water and protein. I count my calories on calorieking. By the way, how many calories do I suppose to be getting in per day? I need to get the scale moving again!! PLEASSSE HELP!!!

Yes, this is normal. Your body is just catching up, don't worry! Before you know it, you will drop 5 pounds over night.

Krissyk...wanna to let you know that is normal..and these stalls happen all the time - I think I'm in the middle of one too. Only lost 7 lbs thus far but I know what I need to do - so don't panic! WE didn't get obese overnight - and therefore will not lose it the same. The whole thing is a lifelong process. It's about making lifestyle changes and sticking to them. You are still a newbie and your body is still adjusting. Keep up with your walking, vitamins, protein, water, fluids and before you know it - the scale will move. And don't weight yourself everday. Choose one day to do your weigh in and do it in the morning. Good luck to you!
