Tricare Approved Surgery

I read somewhere on the boards that someone was interested in knowing if Tricare covered Gastric Bypass Surgery. In the Tricare beneficiary handbook they stated that they do but I wanted to wait to my surgery was approved to be sure. Well I just got off the phone with Tricare and they told me that as long as my primary insurance approved the surgery they would cover it. WOW I'm so excited!

Paulette, That is just wonderful, you must be so excited about being approved. Once all my paper work was in Tricare approved me in less then a week and it felt like forever. Now 9 weeks post-op & 61 lbs. gone it feels like the surgery was 9 months ago. I hope you get the dates you want for surgery. God Bless, Stephanie
