Y'all just tell me to stop when your sick of me! I'm on a little roll here so I figured I'd take advantage of it til I fizzle out... Welcome to the new week and may it be a peaceful and productive one for all of you! Do you have a nickname that you can share? (even if you don't go by it anymore) Tell us how you got it and who gave it to you... Mine is Sallykate! Go figure eh?! My real first name is Kendra... My mom used to call me Sallykate when I was a little girl. I am not sure where she got it from or why but I do remember that whenever she called me that, I felt warm and snuggly all over. Her tone was full of affection when she said it even though she was usally being playful when she used it. Hubby calls me "babe" (no not the pig!!) just babe. No matter where we are, I'm "Babe."

My most popular nickname is Mouse. My mom dressed me up as a mouse for halloween when I was little and everyone in my family thought it was hilarious. I have learned to love the name now My dad calls me Roach (I have no idea why- he always has) and my fiance calls me Baba. However- most often it is just Mouse. Mouse aka Kim

My dad always called me Tiger I am not sure why, but he bought me a satin jacket in Japan when I was 2 with a Tiger on it...I still have it. After my dad had the stroke a few years ago he started calling my girls Tiger too...that upset me I guess I shouldn't of said something because he can barely remember their names anymore. My husband occasionally calls me babe, which sets me back for a second since he usually just calls me Trace. Tracey

My friends call me Phoenie when they are feeling froggy, but my real name is Phoenix (I have a sister named Cheyenne, and a brother named Dakota--and no, my mom wasn't a hippie). I have one friend that calls me "Arizona Purple" because my maiden name was Phoenix Brown. My hubby calls me "baby" (in a french accent--SOOOO adorable, gotta love the accent), my mom calls me Phoenie as does my sister-while my dad has topped the cake with his nickname for me when I was a kid: "Peenie Weenie Jella Beanie"...ugh. LOL (and people thought you couldn't elaborate on Phoenix...) -Phoenix

SallyKate, you are just as sweet as can be! At work and in the military many people couldn't pronounce my maiden name and they didn't want to use my "american" first name, so they called me Anita, which I'm told means "little Anna." Being over 6ft tall and never small per se, it kinda seems silly but I was told my personality made me vulnerable, sweet and seemingly "little." And everyone felt like they should protect me and such, thus the name. . I always thought it was kinda like naming the biggest guy on the farm, "Tiny." ;) My husband has several nick-names for me, darlin, sweetie, luv...but my favorite is baby, he is the only one who ever called me that and it makes me weak in the knees when he does. My son calls me "your Highness" when he is mad at me but otherwise he melts my heart evertime he calls me Mommie. I come from a large family so my parents always went thru a roll-call when they tried to remember which child they were talking too. Anyways, since the youngest's name is Marcie, I became M-Anna.....which stuck because in the bible, Mana is God's food to the israelites (God's gift to man!) and it became a pet name from my Dad.
