Wanted to say hi.....my new job has kept me from checking in. I did have a question ....... At what point can we start drinking carbonated drinks again? does any one know?

Hi there. Well, the doc and many tell you to to STEAR away completely. I'm almost 6 months out and it still causes pain when I drink - yes I dare chance it. I get AWEFUL cravings sometimes and I just have to have a sip or two. I didn't attempt it until around 2-3 months, I think. But they say to stay away - if you can do it - Do it. Don't drink any type of carbonated drinks - if you can make that choice.

My doctor said never again. I'm 9 months out and recently broke down and got a diet cherry limeade from Sonic, it burnt so bad going down that I knew I would never try that again. I rarely drink, but lately I have been craving a nice cold Killian's but I dont want to risk the pain. I'm dreading St. Patty's Day this year and not being able to indulge in a beer, guess I'll have to find an Irish wine that day for one glass !

There is a new non-carbonated sugar free drink out now, that is awesome. It is a good substitute. tina 236/149/136
