I hope to have Dr. Kim do my lap RNY. His office requires you to see Dr. Fergusen. I made my appt with her and she said the visit is three hours long - wow! Can anyone tell me what goes on and what you thought of this psych evaluation? Thank you, Karen

Not sure what all goes on mine is on the 24th in Ft Lauderdale. I talk to the doctor himself and he said alot of it is true and false questions and your general expections of the outcome of your surgery. The doc said it would be between 2 and 3 hours depending on how fast I can answer the questions. Good luck. Kat

Karen, I just had surgery on Feb 22 with Dr. Kim and I chose to use Dr. Ferguson. She is wonderful and she has had surgery herself. Her consult. is approx 3 hours. Prior to your appt there is a questionnaire which she reviews with you and there are like 150 T/F questions. It is really not that bad and I enjoyed talking with her. Good Luck with your journey. Dr. Kim and the entire US Bariatric staff is awesome! Tammy Wolford

Whew, by the time I finished with Dr. Ferguson yesterday, I was tired and my back was aching (when does it not? It's a two hour drive one way to Celebration Health - L O N G day! The appointment took a good three hours. First Dr. Ferguson interviewed me. Then I took two true/false tests on the computer. One was 467 questions and the other was ~165. I passed and am ready to go onto the next thing I need to do for Dr. Kim. Dr. Ferguson was very nice, attentive, and understand the aspects of going through the surgery and the aftercare. Someone else said she was a previous patient herself and it shows, she's knows what she's doing. I enjoyed talking with her. Sitting for the three hours was hard for me as I have several herniated discs in my back, but I would have done it if I had to drag the exam table over and lay down on it to keep on going. Karen

Oops, forgot I wanted to say HI Tammy! I used to live in Ocoee - spent 13 years there before we moved to Tennessee. Now I'm back in FL. My sister still lives in Ocoee! Karen
