I'm almost 4 months out and I was wondering when to expect hair loss.
I know its different from person to person--just a general idea would be great. Thanks in advance, Amy Nolen
I started losing three months out. I am 4.5 months out now, and I am still losing a handful every morning in the shower.
It should stop at what - six months post-op?

I started at about 4 1/2 months and I am still losing now. I lost a lot at about 6 months, lasted about 2 weeks and now at 7 months I barely am losing it.

I started losing mine at about 4 months out and still losing but not as much. I've lost almost half my hair it seems but it is growing back. My surgeon says taking extra zinc and biotin helps so i upped my dosage. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm three months out and losing hair by the handfulls when I shampoo or just run my fingers through it. I'm told to hang in there, it will stop and begin to grow back, but I'm wondering if I won't be bald before then.
I never lost any hair either, which is good because my hair is fine enough and thin enough to begin with! I also bypassed the whole depression thing!

My surgeon and Nutritionist said if you keep your protrein levels high enough you wouldn't looke your hair. He uses Protinex post op and at the support groups, most people have kept thier hair.
