Opinions on protein drinks

I want to try some of the protein drinks out while I am still waiting on approval from Aetna. Anybody have comments or ideas on what they liked and didn't like? Brandwise, flavor-wise or otherwise would be appreciated. thanks ted

I've tried so many and didn't like them until i tried a brand called pureprotein by worldwide, the fitness center at the hospital here sells them and uses them for their bypass and weight loss patients. GNC does carry them plus the protein bars, the shakes come in 4 flavors......vanilla, straw, banana and choc, the bars come in a variety of flavors. My surgeon doesn't like his patients to just drink the shakes but i found that 1 a day helps me get my protein in (they have 35grams). I really like the choc and straw, not chalky tasting at all but of course everyones opinion is different. Good luck with your approval and good luck on your weight loss journey. i like isopure... the already made one in the glass bottle... taste like gateraid... kinda... 40 grams of protien

I drink EAS AdvantEdge shakes, get them at Walmart for less than $5 for a four-pack. Dry mix kind, I like Proplete, Unjury and Elite brands. Try to buy some samples online before you purchase large quantities. Good luck Amy -159lb.

I also like the EAS AdvantEdge RTD protein shakes, but they only have 10 grams of protein. My next favorite are the Extreme Smoothies sold on BariatricEating.com with 35 grams of protein and my all-time favorite, can't live without them are the AchievOne coffee flavor RTD shakes with 20 grams each.
