Hi Everyone, Got home around 6:30 p.m. last nite from Ocala. Honestly, this is nothing I could have ever prepared for, but each day has gotten better. Had an Open RNY. The nurses and staff at MRMC were awesome. Tough when they needed to be and compassionate as well. Glad to be home and looking forward to getting out tomorrow for my first real walk outdoors.

Mary, I'm soo glad that you posted. I saw that you were up for surgery with Dr. Overcash a couple of days ago (on the Surgical Associates forum) and I was hoping that you would post. I'm also his patient of 5 months almost. If there is anything I can help you with let me know....not that I'm an expert but in whatever I can help - let me know. Keep in touch when you are feeling better. And Yes, walk, walk, walk!!

Mary, Welcome to the other side! I also had a great experience at Munroe when I had my surgery last June. Don't forget the next support group in Lake Mary is 3/15 and there are several of Overcash's patients there. I should be there this month, hope you can make it. It's imperative to not walk this journey alone. Keep up your positive attitude, walk, sip and rest! You will do fine. Amy -156lb.
