ANY WLS GROUPS IN OR NEAR JACKSONVILLE???

Hi, I wanted to know if there maybe any groups near Jax? I am from there but live in the middle of Jax and Lake City Fl town called Macclenny. I have not had my WLS yet I will be seeing Dr Brient in Gainesville,Fl I have heard nothing but wonderful things and I already know some of the people due my sister had it done last year and my mother 2 times in the 80's and last one done mid 90's... I am trying to find some friends to help and just be there for surport I hardly know anyone If anyone knows of any groups and or would just like to be pen pals surport one another that would be great... Hey Tracey, I live in Macclenny and March 16th will be my year's anniversary. I have more pictures on my profile. To date, I have lost 125 lbs and in size 10 from size 26. We have a Meet Up group that meets monthly at Orange Park Mall. There are also other groups that meet. Contact me if you would like.

Hi Tracy! Dr. Brient is my surgeon. I'm having surgery March 14. You will LOVE Dr. Brient and his whole staff! They are all great! Erika has a WLS support group that meets once a month. I haven't been yet, but plan on going. HUGS Kim

Hi Kim, You have the same name my sister has she will be at her one year soon she had Dr thoburn there and my mother had went to the same place but her Dr retired already. I grew up with my mom and all that goes with this life change. Tracy, I live in Jacksonville and had surgery 8 months ago. Please feel free to email me anytime! Please try to come to the support group meeting in Jacksonville. Ericka heads this one up and she's wonderful!. I attended my first meeting with this group this month. I believe the next meeting is March 13. I go to as many support meetings as I can find. Tracy, We have a WLS support group that meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at St Lukes Hospital in Auditorium Room C from 2-3pm. We have 2 people who normally attend that drive in from Macclenny.
