My life has been a ROLLERCOASTER these past two years...lots of changes. I have just found out that we are for the list time being moved. We will be in P'Cola by April 1. My husband is working out of state and his insurance is VERY WLS supportive...they only require a high BMI to qualify...no diets ect...BUT, they have no network in Florida. His carrier will assign us to an ins network that is similiar to theirs and my question to all of you is has anyone had a SUPPORTIVE, EASY insurance in the P'Cola area? Any that I may wish to ask them to steer clear of? All feedback would be appreciated!!!! Thanks again everyone.... Laurie

This is the website addy that I pulled up for the surgeon that did my surgery. It lists all the different insurances that have been used for surgery for him as the surgeon. It's a start to give you the information that you are looking for. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bariatric+surgeon+profile+John+D+Nye+dsh.html Stephanie

Hi there - I used Dr. Nye in Pensacola and have Beech Street Network. They were pretty quick to respond. A bmi of over 40 (35 w comorbidities) 6 month evidence of a weight loss program UNDER THE CARE OF A PHYSICIAN is what they required. I almost didn't have the 6 month physician part, but my PCP wrote a letter stating my history and how long I've be going to him with my weight for each year. The approved it. Dr. Nye's office is very familiar with what is needed for each insurance. You might want to pick a surgeon first, then ask them which ins. companies they find easy to work with. Best of luck and let me know how things turn out! Joann
