Well finally I've lost 60lbs. It seemed like I was in the fifty's forever. It feels real good--but I only feel like I've lost 10lbs. I just can't see it really. Anyone felt like that? I tried on a pant suit and the pants just fell off me and I was swimming in the jacket. I have to keep remembering that--but it still doesnt feel real to me. Thanks, Amy Nolen

It took me a long time and a lot of weight lost to see the changes in myself. I felt it in my clothes but didnt see it in the mirror, now I do thank goodness! I think that is normal for so many of us. I am still struggling with how I look unclothed with my sagging skin and scar but that will get better with time and lots of PS down the road. Glad you are out of the 50s, keep it up! Amy

Amy: If you have not done so, please take your measurements including your arms and thighs. At times when you think you are not loosing weight you will be loosing inches and it will help you realize that you are still on the right road when you cannot see it physically. It took me 6 months or more to really see if for myself and that was in a picture that was a group picture of other wls friends. It still surprises me when I can get into smaller clothes. Others tell me I wait too long to go down a size. To think a year ago 26 was the smallest I could do and now it is 10's.

60 pounds is great. It's a huge accomplishment!! How much more does your doc want you to lose? I know what you mean about not being able to see it. I only really believe it when I buy new clothes or compare old pictures. Take Care! -Katie

Amy, You are doing GREAT!!!!! I still find myself walking into Lane Bryant trying to purchase clothes! It will take a while for you to realize that you are loosing the weight. It's so much fun to find that you can get into those smaller sizes too! Keep up the good work! Blessings, Lois

Good for you Amy! Try not to focus so much on the numbers on the scale but in the way your clothes fit (or now don't fit). We have been looking at ourselves obese for such a LONG time. Don't stress. Our minds will eventually catch up and begin seeing the lost pounds. Sincerely, Dawn
