Hello Sunny FLORIDA Board! I am Katie and I am moving to your state and your board. My husband is in the Air Force. We are moving from Whiteman AFB, MO to Eglin AFB. Is anyone on this board in that area?? Please reply if so. I would love to find out about Ft. Walton. We are both originally from Birmingham, AL and are very familiar with Destin, Gulf Shores, and Pensacola...just not Ft. Walton. Oh and by the way, I am 5.5 months out from surgery and have lost 68.5 pounds! Yea! Take Care! Thanks! -Katie

My husband retired from Hurlburt in 2001, just before Stop Loss. We lived in Pensacola (and I commuted everyday to Mobile), but my grandparents settled in FWB when my grandfather was stationed at Eglin in the 50s. To B'ham it is about 6 hours, depending on how you drive. What would you like to know about Ft. Walton Beach? Kristen

Kristen, Thanks for the reply. Concerning Ft. Walton, I mostly want to know if you know if there are any town-house/condo communities where one can rent. Also, is there a Target? or a mall? good place to shop?? That's mostly all... Also, I read your profile. Very sweet story about your dad. Sorry for your loss. Congrats on WLS so far! -Katie
