I saw my Dr. yeasterday for my 6 week check up. On his scale I have only lost a total of 19lbs. since surgery. This sounds like it's a lot less than other people loose. What do I do?

What did your doc say? Was he okay with your weight. Just remember each person is different. Have you ever lost 19# in 6 weeks before. Just check your protein, water and walk. Sometimes I am just not getting enough in and my weight loss would stop. It will go. Did you measure before surgery. You may be losing inches right now. Either way, just keep up what your Dr says and remember your body has to stop once in a while and work on the healing. You will do fine. Good luck. Carol

It can happen! The 2nd month visit I di with the doc I only lost 8lbs and I was very disappointed (I could tell so was he). But now, in working with a trainer, exercising and eating right I saw him yesterday and I lost 24.5 since my last visit. My total is only 68 lbs which isn't that great but not bad at all...it will happen - one day at a time. But we're here to encourage you - you are not alone.

I spoke with my Dr. again today and he realized he made a mistake in his math. I have lost a total of 32lbs in 6 weeks. I knew something was wrong because I have gone down in clothes size.
