Have Medicare, Which Doc? Approval?

If you or someone you know used Medicare, please tell me who your WLS doctor was. Also, with Medicare, I was searching the insurance archives and noticed some people saying that Medicare does not do pre-approval, you have the surgery and then see what they will pay. But some folks said they were pre-approved. I have been trying all morning to get through to Medicare, waited on hold for 30 minutes twice, and my phone battery died. Does anyone know about pre-approval with Medicare? Thank you very much. K
