Hi, I don't post often, but I was wondering if anyone who is around 18 months post op is having any porblems losing weight. I go up and down with 5-6 lbs and it is driving me crazy. I can't seem to keep it off. Anyone else going through the same thing? Thanks for you help Terese -130 8-19-03 RNY

I am not there yet but I have some questions or comments. Your body levels out after a period of time. Maybe you are there. Have you met your goal? At 11 months out, I have met my goal and I go back and forth about 4 lbs, drop 2 and go back and forth on 4 again. I have done this for the past several months. However I do not worry about it. I do not want to gain the weight back or look aneroxic.

I am 23 months post-op. I have been at goal for about a year. I also have those 5-6 pounds that I bounce around with. It depends on many factors such as what time of the month, how much sodium I have consumed etc. I do not weigh every day but when I do ..I weigh the same time of day after having gone to the bathroom and in my nightgown. I go from 123-128. I am perfectly happy with this. After dealing with being 100 pounds overweight I am not about to worry about 5 pounds. Now if my weight started creeping back up into the 130's that would be a problem I would need to address. Good luck to you. Char
