DUH! One of the main reasons I came here to post was to ask who you would recommend for a bariatric surgeon in the Sarasota or surrounding towns area. I will obviously need to transfer my care to a surgeon there, so any advice would be appreciated! Do you think it wil be difficult finding a surgeon willing to take on another surgeons patient? I have heard great things about Dr. Estigarribia in Bradenton (right outside of Sarasota). The contacts at his office is either Robyn or Bonnie and I believe they can be reached at 941-745-7245. Good luck and welcome to florida!!! -Phoenix

Thank you, Phoenix! We drive by Brandenton and it seems like it is a cute town. Thanks for posting this info! I will definitely look into this surgeon! How is Tampa in terms of living there? A co-worker of mine moved to NH recently from Tampa. She lived in many areas in Florida and said Tampa was by far her favorite. Hugs, Denise

I do like Tampa, it is a great place to start out here. My husband and I are planning on moving to Europe once we are finished with school, as he is from France and misses his family (plus I would LOVE to go!)...but as far as florida goes, we do love it here and it has definitely offered the start in life that we needed. Tampa is big and has a lot of areas. The best (in my opinion) is Tampa Palms (my all-time fave!!!), New Tampa, Town 'N' Country, and the nicer areas of Temple Terrace (that's where my hubby and i live currently). I do know that they have some GORGEOUS neighborhoods in Valrico that are a little less expensive than actually living in the city, and Brandon is also pretty nice. Tampa and St. Pete have the most job opportunities I think in the Tampa Bay area. I lived in Bradenton for 2 years as well and I wouldn't recommend that unless you can get more towards the beaches. It has some really nice areas, but the good job opps are few and far between. If you need to know anything else, feel free to email me and I'll tell you what I know!! -Phoenix
