ALCOHOL WITH WLS? IS IT POSSIBLE
I posed the same question to my local support group and everyone advised against due to 1) having empty calories 2) can get easily drunk etc. I have tried a margarita twice but only sips and been okay but I'm following everyone's suggestions and keeping away. Sometimes ya just wanna be a part of something - like if everyone is drinking ya wanna do the same but the one that can suffer the most is you/me. Something to think about, huh.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YUOUR INPUT . I GUESS I HAVE TO BE IN THAT SITUATION FIRST AND SEE HOW I FEEL. IM NOT MUCH OF A DRINKER NOW BUT I ALSO DONT GO OUT MUCH NOW EITHER. I HAVE AN OCASSIONAL BEER OR GLASS OF WINE. BUT THANK YOU ALL FOR YOU INPUT AND I GIUESS I WILL USE MY BEST JUDGEMENT....
THANKS,
HOPING TO BE A LOSER SOON...

Jennifer,
I had a drink at 6 months out and it hit me hard. I had to lay down for about 20 minutes to get my head straight again and deal with the pain in my belly. I haven't tried drinking since that time, I'm not ready to feel that bad again yet.
If you do try to drink after WLS, test the waters in a safe, comfortable environment, don't try it out with friends or at a club or you may regret it.
